Cheesy innuendo aside, the release of White iPhone 4 did not leave the device unscathed. Soon after people began receiving their orders, a lot of people pointed to the fact that it is slightly thicker than the original iPhone 4 which can be seen here:

This caused Apple honcho Phil Schiller to publicly answer the issue through Twitter. The tweet stated “It is not thicker, don’t believe all the junk that you read.” If an Apple head doesn’t convince you, maybe Consumer Reports and a dozen others will.

So why the difference in thickness in some devices. Macrumors states:
Consequently, the difference may be an issue of quality control with some phones exhibiting the difference while others do not, rather than an intentional design change to specify the thicker profile.
And there you go! No one is thicker than the other. Besides, they should both perform well for the user. Ok I’ll stop, ha!
